Have Safari and Firefox which is primary may be conflicting

Hi Have Safari and Firefox which I use as my primary, Safari will open immediately but sometimes Firefox will not or is trying to load for a long time. If I turn off Imac and start sometimes that helps Firefox open sometimes have to try more than once. something is stopping it from opening what would it be?? thanks

Is your internal HDD full (has less than 10% of empty storage space)?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your problem. Your post wasn't very clear.

Long and short Firefox is erratic opening and Safari opens almost instantly see post below for versions and space thanks rayw

Then the only thing I can surmise is that you have a bad Firefox installation. Try trashing it and downloading it fresh. I can't think of anything else to recommend.
