Yeah, the thought of being too hard on MS occasionally runs through my mind, but never for very long....when you see stuff like this...

Ya, it sure does not take M$ long to provide more reasons not to like them.

Yeah, thats my thinking. Sometimes it's almost as if I want to try and like them as a company, but it's usually pretty tough. One step forward with Vista, then three back with all the usual MS antics afterward.

I don't feel sorry for M$. Why? Because when Win95 first introduced, Apple tried to sue M$ for coypin' their "trash can" (because of recycle bin). It never happened so... let M$ suffer for EU and their next gen OS, too! :D

**EXCEPT XBOX and XBOX 360 because of HALO :p
That law suit would have been thrown out so fast that the court's trash can would be the only one holding it long enough to read it!

Nope, dont think so. At some point they will have to dump backward compatibility and try an entire new design, apple was lucky that they could pull it off with 0s 9 -> X. No matter how hard Ms tries they will either keep some of the older now inadequate design or break someones applications, i say brak the apps, get it over with.

I have always been a fan of microsoft AND apple. A lot of the critisicm of MS must be down to jeolousy, surely. If your product is used on just about every PC in the world that is one hell of an accomplishment. I like the fact that I can use software from differant manufacturers and when I right click (the mouse) I ALWAYS get properties and I can copy , paste between the programmes. ie they all work together as if they are part of one big suite. I am talking from CAD software to graphics, to word processing programmes. I am yet to find out how apple software goes, its OK but I don't find it as intuitive as MS. We need both MS and Apple though, apple has always been that annoying thorn in MS side which keeps them honest...
