I bent my ipod touch 5 with the car door, slammed the door against it by accident, it bent because is a lot thinner than the 4th, took it back to the store but they said that they couldn't do anything about it, however they recommended to send it to the apple store but i dont know how, can somebody recomend me something?

Go to the emergency room. You sound like you may have banged your head instead.

I never stick my iPad Touch in my back pocket. I think that is just stupid! It goes in my shirt pocket and I have no problems at all.:)

Except a possible "man-boob" look.

Just picked up a iPod Touch 5 myself for possible summer travels. I hope it doesn't bend that easily as it will be in my front pocket the whole time, and I've had isses with keycards and other items bending.

So other than stepping or slamming a car door on it, has anyone else had an iPod Touch bend by simply carrying it in a pocket?

I was able to "un-bend" my iPod. Basically bend it back to look as normal as possible. Its always been I'm my from pockets and its never bent while in my pocket

Mine hasn't bent as I don't carry it in a pocket or even go outside with it - I have a Nano and a Shuffle for that. Plus, I use a case.

Yeah I dropped mine on a rock and got a few chips then slammed it into a car door and bent it! Works just like new (with only a few war wounds) but I have been pretty unlucky with it!

Seeing as how the iPod Touch 5th Gen is much thinner than the iPhone 5 and also made of aluminum, have you bent your iPod Touch 5th Gen? There are tons of people who have bent their iPhone 5 from normal use and I am interested to see if there is a similar problem with the new iPod Touch. The iPod Touch 5th Gen doesn't have the same big cut outs for the volume buttons that the iPhone 5 does so it should resist forces better.

Yeah I bent mine cause u slammed it in a car door! And I dropped it and got a few chips! It sux!!!

The iPod Touch I don't find very practical for using outside, too large and no buttons to skip forward or back songs - that one in my above photo just sits by my bed along with my cell phone... if I did use it outside and in a pocket, it probably would bend.

The Nano, though, has full button controls and is practical and light for outdoor use, likewise the Shuffle for when I'm at the gym.

I find it hard to discover someone who actually own ipod nano, shuffle, and touch and still able to use them in different time of the day.

But i already saw a guy who own 2 ipod touch 5 and not an Iphone here already.

I would rather have Iphone, Ipad, and one of the ipod. Still, i already have no time to use my ipad each day since i also spent 2 hours on my PC after i came back from work. It doesn't matter how much the device cost as long as you really get to use them.

I did have 2 iPod Touch 5s 'til I sold the 32Gb ;)

I struggle to find a use for the Shuffle apart from when I drag myself to the gym, but I've had it for 2 years now. These are the only Apple devices I own, though, I have a Nexus 7 and a Sony cell phone.

My iPod is used for the ride to and from work, all by bicycle. To have a camera with me at all times to catch those moments in life when you say, "If I only had a camera." Love the ipod 5 camera for random shots in my travels. I love the camera quality and being able to post without having to download to a computer. The ipod is meant to be in a pocket and travel. If not why not just buy an iPad. My ipod has never been dropped, slammed into anything, or kept with anything else in that pocket. About two days ago I was taking photos when I attempted to switch the camera from one side to the other and it would not go to the front facing view. There is white pressure areas on the glass due to the bending and the apps are now starting to randomly start to shut down.

I had an iPod 4 which traveled in my pocket in daily life, as well as cross country and around the world since 2010. In those years it was dropped a few times, sat on more then I care to admit. But to this day I have no trouble with the ipod 4g that I have with the ipod 5g. I upgraded for the better camera and the larger screen...but now I am (for the first time) greatly disappointed in an Apple Product. I have always been a Mac/Apple loyal person.

The kicker to this mess, even with Apple Care I am going to have to pay $155.95 to get it repaired. Soooo disappointed in Apple and the ipod 5g.

My ipod 5 is bent

People complaining about iPod touch bending and yet not one single pic. I am beginning to think people are either lying or blowing this wash out of the water. Not trying to be a douche bag but pics or it didn't happen.

Mine is bent!! Treated in the same manner as my ipod 4 which is still up and running...Just wanted the better camera

Thank you for the pics. It's not that I didn't want to believe its just with these kind of things you never no. Anyway I can only imagin what you did to make it bend Glad apple is going to replace it. They would usaly charge you in a case like this so you must have got lucky and they felt sorry for you. Well good luck and I hope you don't break the new one lol.

I used my iPod touch for only 2 months, and I've used it just like any normal person has, haven't dropped it or anything, and my ipod back and front are disconnected. like wtf?

Mine did slightly I don't even know how, but its always on a table nothings been put on it.

My 5th generation ipod bent too and I kept it in a sturdy case and never sat on it:confused: I am wondering if the case did it too.i can see the screen start to bubble where it bent and apple probably wont cover it if the screen breaks do you know if I bring it to apple if they could do anything
