A dream is why I am buying a Mac in the first place. Seriously.

Months ago, I had a dream I was buying one from my work. I work in a hardware store. I know it makes no sense, but I was buying one and for some reason I really liked it.

I haven't used a Mac since grade 9 computers, back in 1996.

When I woke up, I remembered the dream very vividly. I still do as a matter of fact. I felt compelled by that dream, so I began to research Macs through websites (this one) and talking to a friend of mine who loves Apple. Needless to say he was surprised, given all the ***** I'd talked about Mac when really, I didn't know ***** about them.

So, ever since that dream I've decided to buy a Mac. Eventually, I'll have one; probably within this year. If I never had that dream, I may never have decided to even think about getting one.
This could be Apple's new secret ad campaign! :D

Can't say I've ever woken up remembering I had a dream about one ;)

Although I have woken up and looked at my 30" ACD HD and thought "&!$!ing Hell that's huge"

The first dream I had involved a new product that I'm not quite sure what the purpose was for. It was small, yellow, and squishy. It fit in a person's ear. I think it might have been some sort of controller, or portable iSight.

Last night I dreamt that a friend of mine had an apple website from the future (couldn't we all do with one of those?) It showed us that new Mac Minis were coming out on July 25. And, (this was good news for me) from July 7, the price of the Powerbooks had fallen by around 500 bucks across the line. Could this be ESP, or a result of too much cheap Japanese beer?

Maybe my dream's coming true! The yellow squishy think coupled with the Powerbook price drops are all set for July 7!

Something's Going Down On July 7

Wahoo, bumping old topics!! :) :) My favorite past time.

Anywhoo, I took a nap today (was exhausted for some reason.. Hm) and I had a really weird dream.

I was getting the grand tour of Apple HQ, and Steve Jobs was leading it. (Ya, right!! haha) So, at the end of the tour, he gave us a sneak peek of a future product.
It was a washer and dryer.
Like... for clothing.
The front had a big, glowing Apple logo on it, the washer was brushed aluminum and the dryer was iBook-white.
The thing is, they were connected by two tubes. When you finished washing the clothes, it automatically sorted what clothing went in which tube. Dryer-safe stuff went straight into the dryer, and hang-dry only was automatically clipped to a clothing line. (He said it did it with RFID tags embedded into the clothing tags.)

I woke up confused.. yet intrigued.
Apple branded home appliances? I'm soo there.
I'll make a mockup tonight.. I have nothing better to do, haha.

yeah, i once had a dream about gold powerbooks dropped from a helicopter.

i'm deadly serious too, the case was made of like some scandium alloy with a gold color.

god knows why i remeber this dream, i remeber like 1% of my dreams, but still...

it was funky.

Carl Gustav Jung tells us that dreams offer practical advice from the unconscious. Go get a Mac: your unconscious told you to.

I had a dream once that I was shopping at Stanford Shopping center and I noticed an older woman having trouble w/ her many shopping bags/purchases so I offered to help her bring it all to her car. We had just got done loading everything into her trunk when we heard this angry voice calling out, "Hey you! What're you doing?!" I turned to look and it was Steve Jobs and I was freaking out. The woman was his relative and when she explained the situation he thanked me curtly, gave me his business card, and took down my contact info.

Hee. I ended up w/ an offer I couldn't refuse to work at Apple and along w/ it, all the Apple products I could ever want. *poof* Quite the dream, eh?

Cool dream! It makes more sense than mine, haha.

No way... washers and dryers are Jobs' favorite gadgets nowadays (at least, that's what it says in "iCon"). ;)

I had this weird dream that the mac mini's had been updated, and I got a brand new one (my first mac).

Then the fan got way too hot, and it melted through the metal, and there was this big lump in the back of my mac mini!

Good dream turned to nightmare :p

I had a weird Apple dream on Friday although I blame it on rereading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory before bed. Basically, Steve Jobs played the Willy Wonka role, the iTMS countdown was the equivalent of the golden tickets but annoyingly, although I was in at the start of a meeting to discuss a new product, I woke up before they showed it off... argh!

I had a dream a week or so ago about the new iBooks. I had been reading the threads about the rumors and stuff. I'd also been watching old episodes of The Computer Chronicles (Available at http://www.archive.org/) Anyway, I watched an episode where they were showcasing the then new PowerBook Duo and in my dream, the iBook was made like that. It was a 12" tablet-like iBook, but you could hook it up to a display, similar to the way the PowerBook Duo worked. It was cool.

No dreams about Macs I don't think (phew) but I did have a nightmare once about a piece of sugar on my back that was 25 pixels wide... :p

I was a lot smaller then...

You probably mean the iBabelfish? It's a translator device...
