Have you ever maxed out your Apple Watch battery in a day?

I've gotten down to 0%, but only after doing a 4+ hour hike with the heart rate sensor on.
 
What planet are you on? Even on OS1, spend a couple of hours at the gym and the battery WILL be dead by about 5pm. Turn off heart rate tracking and it'll easily last the day, but then, what's the point of using fitness tracking.
Yep, it's the heart rate monitoring that kills it. I just do half hour walking at lunch, and I'm down below 30% by the time I go to bed (usually much lower).
Yesterday I was at about 45% I think, after doing no exercise tracking or extra heart rate monitoring.

The watch really is one device I don't want Apple to keep slimming down, and keeping that "same great battery life" (I hate that phrase during announcements).
 
I came close this weekend when I went for a 9 mile run. By the end of the day, the watch was in the low 30s/ high 20s. I'm probably going to do another 9 or 10 mile run this coming sunday (its my long running day), and I'll see how the watch performs then as well.
 
I've never made it below 20% even after an hour workout, 18 holes of golf and using the golfshot app. All using the workout app set to other. I charge my watch around 9pm each night and wear it to bed and wake to about 92%. Last week through to this week, my waking battery life seems to be even better. Slept in one day this weekend for 10 hours and the watch was at 93%.

To me, the biggest drain is the screen active and I rarely touch the screen. Siri does pretty much everything for me and then the wrist goes down.
 
During the week, I take mine off the charger at 6:40am and then put it back on the charger at 10:45pm. I usually still have about 30% left of battery life. During the weekend, it's about the same, although I take my watch off the charger at around 9am and charge it back up between midnight and 1am.
 
Either way, I'm happy with the battery life, I've got into the routine of putting it on charge every night, I made a small dock out of wood, stained and varnished it, put it by the bedside, works great.
 
I got to 10% once after a day of kayaking with the watch set to track exercise (I used the rowing exercise setting). I was kayaking for quite a while. Other than that, the lowest I see at the end of the day is 40%.
 
Never dipped below 50%. Although, this morning I set the brightness to the lowest level as I found it too bright and I'm finishing the day at 82%.

I just got mine today and feel the screen isn't bright enough for my liking. Maybe because I had a moto 360 and had the brightness cranked up all the way and it looked great. The AW hasn't been as bright as I'd like.
 
On OS 2 beta, had an Open-Other workout going, and forgot to end it. *chuckle* Had it going for a good 8 hours. Compounded that by using the Remote app, which is a battery murderer, evidently. So, once... but entirely my fault.

On a related note, does anyone know (or is there literature on) how the Watch manages open apps? They still run when you "crown out"; certain ones, like Remote, even stay on screen. Is it like the phone, where they auto enter background mode - and you don't need to manually close them out? Force-quitting can't be our only option for app management.
