Have you tried the portrait mode on iOS11?

I am wondering if anybody with an iPhone 7 plus running iOS 11 has tested out the updated portrait mode and how it performs in low light?

There's no updated portrait mode, to my knowledge. What's changed is that third-party devs get access to a depth API.

Apple did announce an update to portrait mode with features like low light and improved quality.

Not bad. A puppy is also a moving subject so it causes problems for slow shutter speeds.

Quite well actually - small lamp above but had turn the flash off - evening time.
