When I say rings, I mean rings that you wear on your fingers obviously. My iPad somehow got some scrapes and a ding or two near the edge of the aluminum back near the speaker grill. I usually baby my electronics, and while this doesn't reduce the performance of my new iPad, it does make me wonder, can you use rings with this device?

My iPad usually sits at home all day long untouched since my family has taken over the iPad 2, and so no one touches it but me. I will only use it for a few hours at night, doing normal things, so I found it kinda hard to believe that it got some little dings on it. However, the other day I noticed that when I hold it, my hand manages to touch that area where it was damaged, and that's where I wear my ring. So I'm wondering, if any of you experienced this?

It's not a big deal, just wondering. :p

Inb4 you're holding it wrong. :D

I will answer legitimately before the troll comments:

I just recently got married ~1 year ago and I never realized this problem (never wore rings before). My ring has scratched my iPads and even MacBook Pros. I have a titanium ring and the edges in it seem to really cut into the aluminum (usually when I least expect it). I always baby my electronics so I admittedly take off my ring and watch now before working on my MBP (ring only for iPad).

Yes...I love my electronics.

This gives me another reason to not get married. I will not stand for the tarnishing of my Apple products!
