My pro max is coming tomorrow and I haven’t been able to decide on a case. I want something that has a little grip to it but not bulky or heavy, ideally something pretty. I have a speck on my 6s and have dropped it a few times in the house with no damage but it is slippery and it was lack of grip that caused it dropping. There are tons on Amazon with nice designs but I’m concerned they’ll be junk. I saw some brands mentioned here but when I read reviews they all have issues. I was going to get the Otterbox traction at Apple but it’s expensive for something that will turn yellow. I do have AppleCare and will have a ZAGG screen protector. I also liked the tech21 but that also seemed a little slippery.

Try apple silicon or leather case. If you need normal protection and you are looking for something pretty, apple case are the best option for me.

I’ll look tomorrow at the store but I didn’t see anything with any designs. I like this one but not much grip.

Another vote for Apple cases. I normally don't use a case but if I do it's an Apple leather case.

Check the Spigen Liquid Air. Not much added bulk, fairly protective and for the 11 series they added some stripes along the sides to aid with the grip (and the back is textured)

I have it on my X right now and am very impressed considering how little it goes for on Amazon

it wouldn’t be bad if it came in something other than black. I like the new hybrid but am guessing the edges might be slippery
