having a problem jailbreaking iphone !

i have a 3gs never been jail broken

i did every step according to this website

but when i reach the point where it says connect usb device, it doesnt recognize my iphone

when i plug it in nothing happens

any ideas?

and i have the latest update 3.1.3

That was a guide for the 3G. The picture is slightly misleading but all the text states this. You cannot Jailbreak a 3Gs on 3.1.3 that has never been JB'd before.

well ill have to say i my self FAIL!

so how wud i go from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 or shud i wait for 3.1.3 jail break

If you were not previously JB (to be able to save your SHSH blobs in Cydia), you cannot downgrade a 3GS and there is not jailbreak available for you right now.
