Ok I'm not that good with sciences and all, but here is what I'm thinking about.
I shower, with my iPhone in the toilet too.
I use a water heater.
So, I was wondering, since after a while, the mirror in my toilet gets foggy. Which I think is due to the heat from the water I'm using. So.. I was wondering if this "steam" could somehow cause the water sensors to go off, if they condense on the cooler surface of the iPhone?
Oh, and I don't touch it when I'm in the shower. (wet hands and all)
-Summary-
I hope not, especially since I'm careful not to get any water near it. Was just wondering whether the steam could get to the phone, tripping off the water sensors? Are they that sensitive?
OP are you female by any chance
Put it in a sandwhich baggie.
Are you a white, christian male by any chance?
I am a species out of this world.
No, I'm kidding. I'm a female, yes. I was guessing it would be pretty obvious from the berry and the tarts in my profile name.
Cheers

Honestly, I'm surprised that you can hear it over the shower. Mines so loud that I have to plug it into my Tivoli speakers and drag the right speaker over to the bathroom. Needless to say, I plan on using Airplay (iOS 4.2) and an Airport Express in the attic connected to a marine speaker in the bathroom to get my tunes and podcasts while in the shower in the future.Well, I did say I wasn't using it for notifications, etc.
I was using it for music. However, I do hear the notification alerts made when I receive a SMS though.
Cheers
Don't even ask !!! I read one thread where the guy slept with the phone on the pillow next to him.
