I think the best way to get the new iphone will be to have the apple store app open at 3am and ready to go,, shouldn't be a problem to get the new phone them,,I'm gonna have the phone right next to me with the app open and ready to go at 3am,, all I have to do is press a few quick buttons and it's done ,, you agree?

Yea, true ,, what are the chances of getting up around 7am or 7:30am and the phones still be available on the app,, Are they good or bad? I really don't wanna get up at 3am,, lol
Lucky guy !!!! I got through 2 years ago at 3:25 AM and had to wait 2 weeks to ship ... I understand how the hype gets to many folks but I'll be up at 3:00AM myself hopefully for an 1/2 hour so.

I don't think people really know the chances as there's too many variables year-to-year. I think Apple though is pretty experienced by now in how many phones they need to have available. Plus, regular Joe Schmoe isn't really going to pre-order at all. That said, best chance is to get up at 3am.

I guess it depends on the model too. The cheaper models tend to fly off the shelf faster than the higher priced ones.

Very true,,I guess I will see what happens,,,I will still have my phone and apple store app open next to me,, so if or whenever I get up in the AM be it 3am or 4am or 7am I will take my chances then,, thanks guys
Is it really that bad to take 10 minutes out of your night and be SURE?
I like sleep as much as anyone, and with 2 dogs and 2 small children it's hard enough to get any I agree, but for one day a year I manage to wake up for 10 minutes and place an order.
It beats waking up to find there's a 3 month wait for the model I want =)

I don't understand why people can't just set an alarm to wake up for 10 minutes and go back to bed. Waking up at 7am to order should mean that you are OK with the phone not being available, so don't come here bitching.
I'm starting to refresh at 2:59 AM. It's not that I'm obsessed, it's just that, if history is any indication, waiting, even until the morning, gets you a 2 week/2 month wait. We simply do not know how much supply apple has, so why chance it.
You should have lots of free time. ;p I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and 4 kids 5 and under. I'm setting my alarm for 2:50. Maybe I'll get up and go to work then too. Not much point sleeping for another 2 hours before it always goes off.
It's not easy going back to bed after getting up at 3am especially with young kids and dogs and having to be at work at 8am,, very true,, I second that ,,I'm just gonna see if I wake up automatically and take it from there,, I usually do wake up a couple times during the night,,and if that happens I will place an order if not I'll wait till 6:30am or 7am ,, we shall see
