Is there anyway to not have to do this ? I did turn off Background App Refresh does this have something to do with it? Guessing so.

I hate opening apps and not having them up to date.

Turning off background app refresh does prevent apps from updating in the background.

So you are saying that even though you disabled the function your apps still use network bandwidth to update in the background?
