having trouble installing xvid codec in leopard

there is no /Library/QuickTime directory on leopard for some reason and i decided to make that directory on my own and put the xvid delegate in there and it doesn't work. can someone please tell me where to put the xvid delegate? thanks.

I'm having problems installing it too... can anybody shed some light on this?

For the both of you. Just install Perian. That will let Quicktime play back XviD.
