Ok I did search before I posted but I didn't find anything that answered my question.

I have a printer set up on my mac, and my roommate wants to be able to share my printer from his PC. I find lots of information how to do the reverse of this (Sharing a printer that is plugged into a PC from a mac), but that doesnt really help....

what do I do? ive tried everything I know how to do and cant get the PC to recognize the printer

 -> System Preferences -> Sharing -> enable Printer Sharing and Windows Sharing. I don't know much about the Windows end, but you should be able to add a printer using the Windows path it gives you.

Setting printers is usually more difficult on a Windows PC than it is on the Mac. Make sure the drivers for the printer have been installed on his PC. Also, see if the printer has an IP address (or some way to acquire it). By getting the IP address, you may be able to manually connect to the printer on the PC.

Blue- I have done all of that... I know more about networking on the mac side so im a little confused as to what to do on the PC side.

Ziggy- if I get the IP of the printer, do you know how I would go about trying to connect to it from the windows machine?
