I'm trying to rename all the files in a folder using Automator. It works, but it renames them in random order. The original 47 files are named "Picture 05" through "Picture 51". I want to rename them to "iprocurement tutorial 01" through "iprocurement tutorial 47". I want "Picture 05" to become "iprocurement tutorial 01", "Picture 06" to become "iprocurement tutorial 02", etc. The original 47 files were all created in order and the timestamps are all in order. But, it renames "Picture 05" to "iprocurement tutorial 38", "Picture 06" to "iprocurement tutorial 31", "Picture 07" to "iprocurement tutorial 23" and all the rest are also in random order.

My procedure is as follows:

I use Apple-a to select all files in the folder.
Then I right-click and select More->Automator->Create Workflow...
See attachment "step 1".

I locate "Rename Finder Items" in Automator.
See attachment "step 2".

I drag "Rename Finder Items" over to the right side.
See attachment "step 3".

I fill out the "Rename Finder Items" form to "Make Sequential", select "new name" and put in "iprocurement tutorial", select "after name", Start numbers at "1", separated by "space", and Make all numbers "2" digits long.
See attachment "step4".

The files are in order before I click on Run. I click on Run and it renames them. But, they end up in random order. Anybody else having this problem?

I got this to work. I removed the files from "Get Specified Finder Items" in Automator, then added them again and it worked right. Strange.
