Hello

When trying to access my files on my macbook air on my apple tv2 in xbmc.

I cant gain access, i have tried both smb and afp, nothing works. i use the ip adress used from filesharing, and then my login id and password.

I have tried mplayer and it works great.

However i cant access the movies i have on my external hdd connected to the macbook air, anyone know why?

Are you using Lion? I've read it's a bit different for it. Head over to the XBMC forums and then let me know how you did it :D I've been too lazy to research it.

Have you tried entering the info manually? afp://yourusername:yourpassword@yourinternalip/FolderName

The folder names are case sensitive. And don't forget to share the external drive :)
