HBO Max App Update for Apple TV Brings Back Native Video Player

It seems that HBO simply reverted to the previous version of the app, with the crashes and other problems.

Included streaming issues. HBO Max is the only app that switches to SD and sometimes buffers. The Roku it's fine.

Ad functionality is built-in to the native player. HBO didn't need to roll their own.

Keep in mind who still owns HBO Max. That’s right... AT&T, the same bozos that cherry pick neighborhoods for fiber deployment, leaving entire swaths of an area dependent on slow DSL and shrugging their shoulders when people complain.

They were about to start tearing up our private cul-de-sac to install fiber, claiming they didn’t know it was private property, until they were chased off.

In my opinion...The Peacock player is the worst!

The fact that it doesn’t support PIP on ipad means that despite having a subscription I never watch it.

Is this movie very visually dark to you? Thats how it appears on my Samsung ....Even outside scenes....

I watched on my Panasonic Plasma in a pitch-black room. I did notice the color grading seemed pretty strong, but I don’t recall it being overly dark. I’ll have to check it out on my Samsung
