HBO NOW ending tomorrow (21st) for Australia

For anyone who yet have not received the email, will HBO NOW still work tomorrow for those people or is HBO somehow ending services etc to Australia for safety reasons wether you got the email or not?

I have tested it today and is working okay. Using a VPN btw.

There is no HBO NOW service in Australia. The cancellation will affect only those who got the email.

Thanks for the reply. Why have some got caught and others not? Does using a VPN vs a DNS save you from getting caught?

well its ending for more than australians.. anybody outside the U.S. can get the email. i got it. (uk here).

I'll enjoy it alright Did you receive the email from the email you used for your US itunes account? And what service were you using? VPN or DNS?

DNS (via "dns4me" trial)

and the email i used was the iTunes US Account.


glad i didn't buy the iTunes voucher yet, or go passed the DNS trial.

would've been a waste.

I have found most people who are getting caught are using a DNS instead of s VPN server. I'm using unblock us atm. It's confusing because articles have mentioned hbo are cracking on people who use unblock etc. I guess it's luck for some.

if someone can find a certain to work solution, i will try it. but it has to work with Apple TV, otherwise for me theres no point.

even on my 27 iMac, i don't want to be sat at my desk watching shows..

not when i got a 60" tv to use..

Well try using unblock us and set up a U.S. iTunes account and use a U.S. gift card. That for me is working at the moment.

Foxtel is the only resource we have here to watch HBO content. Foxtel is to much of a hassle when you've got a simple service like HBO NOW on ATV.
