Hey guy, I'm thinking of replacing my HD 4870 512mb with a Sapphire HD 6870 1GB.
I play mostly Diablo 3, Star Craft 2, and Assassins Creed on the mac side, and Windows side I'm planning on getting the new Bioshock Infinite.
Will the 6870 be a worth while upgrade?

I was originally planning on getting the 7950, but I don't game enough to justify the cost, I just want something that can play most games at high settings and last me for a while.

You will be fine. Every major release is targeted towards consoles which are reaching antiquity, therefor the video card necessary to run these games doesn't have to be the top of the line or very near the top of the line.

I've got the Sapphire 6870 and it's been working great. Be careful of SC2, though, I had to get around a *major* bug just to get past the login screen. Blizzard blamed it on having an unsupported card, I blame it on poor programming.

Games I play in Bootcamp, however, had no problems.
