HD ****ed Up :(???

My external hd is not being accessible and is now named ⁿä«╔▐U«M╝u^ ... there are folders within the hd that have similiar weird names... what is going on??? did she die on me? (this hd is mostly used for a PC)
 
i dunno im usually pretty good about not getting viruses, and why would it only be on my F drive?
 
Have you tried using Disk Utility or a similar app to check the drive, and possibly repair it? 🙂
 
i used Western Digital's and it said it was fine... i have some important info on there too 🙁
