You have got to be freaking kidding me! I guess you just can't make some people happy. Everyone has been wanting HD... so we get it... and you complain about filesize.

No, I'm complaining about the file sizes of huge downloads and millions of those downloads stressing the servers and networks, when basic e-mails go missing or take hours to days to clear servers and finally be received. Companies are forcing the demand for more and faster data transfers, but not investing enough money in keeping the networks from being overloaded.

I'm also complaining about having no access to faster broadband service because the demand in my area is for television entertainment over work. The widespread adoption of satellite television seems to have pushed the telco to delay the expense of brining broadband to my area, because the telco wants to make money from HD TV in addition to Internet services. There are not enough incentives for the telco to invest the money, so I'm stuck with a connection that can barely play streaming video. Until the costs of broadband installation are decreased, I will be unable to do much to fix this problem.

So... you lost me, lol... It's not even clear with what/who you are complaining about any more. Are you angry with Apple because the HD file sizes are too large? Not much they can do about that.

You havn't mentioned where you live, but sounds like somewhere that really sucks bad! If you're not happy with the limited options you have for bandwidth - and if it's that important to you - then you may seriously want to consider moving someplace with better options, maybe even just a few towns over or something. I don't know what else to say... you can sit there and complain, or you can do something about it.

I can't afford the moving costs, and I don't want to move anyway. It'd be cheaper to get a T1 line and sell ISP accounts. The only other reasonable thing to do is to complain to the telco and try to get government incentives for the telco to invest money in an area that is apparently more interested in paying money to have 150 HD TV channels to watch, instead of having a fast Internet connection for business.

It's obviously not Apple's fault for making money on the HD TV demand, but the problem is that the overall demand for more bandwidth isn't being supported. Websites seem to be stalling and crashing more frequently lately, and that's affecting my productivity.
