HD or Standard Def. movie?

About to rent my first movie on itunes. I assume the ipad2 is Standard Def and not HD correct?

Actually it's neither. It's higher than SD, but lower than HD. So you will almost always get a benefit from using down-converted HD over unconverted SD.

That's my observation as well. I use sd now to save space since there is very little visual difference.

There is A MAJOR difference in the HD shows I have downloaded compared to the sd movies I have.
