Okay if this has been answered then im sorry. But right now the current HD i have is a 250 gig 5400 rpm HD would i be able to put a 7200 into it or would i just be awoken with a loud laptop? Or would it just not work?

You should be aware that a 7200RPM HDD will slightly affect your battery life and also some have reported vibrations... But this is not across the board, so good luck with yours 😀

I have the Seagate 320 gig 7200 rpm drive and it's been great... it's a hair louder than my last drive. You can feel a little more vibration when you're holding the laptop in your hands but it's once again, only minor. The performance difference is noticeable but not absolutely massive... worth while though. Especially if it's a size upgrade as well.
