I live in Malaysia, and just yesterday Apple launched iTunes Music & Videos for Malaysia and is shipping AppleTVs starting tomorrow in stores.

I have seen the prices for HD and SD videos and they differ up to USD$6, when watching on a 52" Sony Bravia 1080p HD TV, is SD sufficient for 'good' quality? I know HD will be super clear and sharp, but is SD similar to DVD quality? I don't mind if its similar to DVD but would mind if you can visibly see it pixelated or blurred.

Also, when a movie does not state SD or HD, is it SD Quality anyways?

Thanks, sorry if there were similar questions before.

It's your call to make. I wouldn't consider SD "good". Try it yourself and see. No one can tell you what you'll find acceptable or not.

Pixellation and blurring have nothing to do with HD versus SD. It's all a matter of encoding, bandwidth, etc. You can get pixellation and blurring with both.
