The 6xxx series will be replacing it soon. Why sell the 5870 when ATI is ramping up 6xxx series cards?

When has Apple ever released new graphics cards from ATI or Nvidia within a few months of them coming out in PC form? Never.
They don't care about new cards coming out, they are happy to sell old cards until a new Mac Pro refresh comes around next year.

Okay but it hasn't happened in a very long time, and especially not since they switched to intel. It is really sad, you would think that having the same platform as PCs would make it easier to bring video cards over. Yet it is still hard to persuade manufacturers to flash the cards for EFI.
Stupid BIOS, it's so out of date and needs to die already.
