hdd case thunderbolt daisy chain, or solution for second monitor

my 2009 imac has only one thunderbolt port
i would like to use a ssd external disk but i have only one thunderbolt port

can't find a hdd case except lacie with daisy chain

or if is possible to use a different port, firewire usb, for secondary monitor
