i've installed a HDD today in an optibay, replacing the SD of my mini

tried to watch some videos but about every 10 secondes, there is a micro "jump"

any idea what could cause that ?

the hdd seems to work properly

it occurs with VLC but not with QT, i just checked

pretty weird, because i never had this before installing the new hdd

since you put in a new hdd, spotlight needs to index it, this can take some time and use cpu/ram.

Re enable it and leave it to index overnight or something.

Thats if you ever use spotlight.

yes i tried, it's working properly under plex, xbmc and QT

but sometimes videos are quite dark

the advantage of VLC is that i can set gamma, etc...

but still, even if i can read movies with other players i really want to identify the source of this problem
