Is there an app that will tell me what speed my drive is? External/internal.

I am installing Yosemite on an FW external and I'm sure dead mice are faster than this.

Should it take forever?

Should it take forever?

Blackmagic Disk Speed Test from MAS can give you pretty accurate numbers of how fast your drive is.
But installing Yosemite takes some time because it has to download some updates from internet.
