Has anyone an idea of how does it compare the 1TB internal HDD speed with Thunderbolt?

hey.

there are many more factors to consider. rpm, cache memory of the hdd, latency and other stuff.

as far as i know thunderbolt has a bandwidth of 10 Gbit/s. this will fairly be enough to power a spinning hdd as the hdd transfer rate will not exceed the thunderbolt bandwidth capabilities.

same for the internal hdd spinning drive!
