hdmi adapter for macbook

What is the best or is there one, adapter cable that i can plug into my macbook and then hook an hdmi cable up to run to my tv so i can watch what is on my macbook screen? Also where can i get one?

By which they mean, "which macbook do you have?"

My understanding is that Apple's mini-display port doesn't pass audio through, so at best you would have the image pass through, but no audio.

If you have one of the latest MacBook this would be your best bet. I currently own one and have no regrets, works great and is plug and play.
