Any word on whether Apple will put an HDMI connector into the new Macbook?
Since they're not giving it Blu-ray, there's no sense in giving it HDMI.
Well you can just buy a DVI-HDMI cable. I've got one for my MBP to connect it to my Bravia.
But built in...not before it appears in the Mac Pro/MBP.
@DigitalSkunk: is HDMI anymore likely than your MBP in your sig
HDMI is good for a lot more than just blu-ray.
Any respectable PC monitor these days has HDMI input.
Many of us like to connect our laptops to our HDTVs, so thats a plus.
HDMI is also a smaller connection than DVI-D while carrying the same signal.
HDMI would be a HUGE plus in the MacBook rather than the costly mini-DVI that requires a $20 adapter for every single connection you want to make, plus additional adapters if you want to connect to a modern display or HDTV.
Yeah we have all these new smaller and superior display connectors out now to replace Mini-DVI.
Possibly on the Macbook Pro, unlikely on the Macbook.
