HDMI to DVI adapter that works under OS X

I'm trying to get output of my HDMI port under OS X. I've used HDMI to DVI adapter and then connected my Apple Cinema Display 23" just for testing but monitor remain blank.

I was testing multiple flashed cards: HD5770, HD5870, HD6870 but non of them showed screen via HDMI to DVI under OS X.

Do I need to get a special HDMI converter ?

Wrong direction. Converters will convert DVI to HDMI, but not the reverse, I believe.

It's working well on Windows using the same cards. Please note - all cards were flashed with EFI ROM's.

After flashing the ROMs, did you confirm that HDMI outputs to normal display with HDMI connection?

I've ordered original Apple HDMI to DVI adapter from Mac Mini. If this won't help I would have to take my Mac Pro downstairs just to make sure what's wrong 😉
