HDR in iPhoto

Are there easy ways to make HDR pictures from a RAW image in iPhoto?
I was looking for a plugin for that, but didn't find anything at the moment.

Other question: the merging of the three images (or more), how is this done technically? (So if needed, I could write my own script for that)

Duplicate the RAW image and change the exposure level. I recommend using Photomatix for merging the images. They have a free version with unlimited use. The only down side is watermark upon saving it. There are some other tools I use for HDR as well but it's easier to show you on my site vs hashing it out here. AikenHDR.com
