So i've got a 37in lcd tv, and i'm trying to connect the MBP to it. I have a DVI to HDMI cable, but that gives bad results as many had stated, with overscan and the vga cable is not giving the results that i would like. The tv is 1366x768, which is very common with hdtv's however the MBP only has 1360x768. Now not as you would think, the 1360 that the MBP is outputting is actually too wide, the tv must be overcompensating for the output resolution being too narrow. Any thoughts on how i can get a decent image??

Thanks
PS, it's a westinghouse ltv-37w2 i think.

the tv probably has different view modes, such as standard, zoom, stretch, fill (not sure how many your tv has). Play with these till you find the one that gives you what you want.

On my westinghouse 32", standard mode gives me what i want
