ATT has an International Data option, 20Mb for $24.99/month.

Depending how long you're gone, 20MB is not much. What I do is:

    Keep Data Roaming Turned off.

Turn "Push" off. Change the "check email" setting to "Manual"

Then when I want to check email, post a tweet, update a blog, etc, I just turn Data Roaming on and do what I need to do.

I don't use it for general web browsing, You Tube, etc while in Europe.

    So far its worked well.

Depending on how long you're gone you may be better off picking up a local SIM to use with payg.
