So this is the 2nd time this has happened to an iPod or iPhone I've had. I own a pair of Sony MDR-V700 headphones, and the Dynex headphone adapter. It seems that because of the heavy cord moving around, the adapter bent a connector inside of the phone. Sound only comes out of one ear, and I can move the adapter around while it's in the phone and I hear a clicking sound. I've clearly broken the headphone port which I am not happy about.

Has this ever happened to anyone else before? I can't use the earbuds because I wear hearing aids. When the buzz dies down I will probably pick up a 3G iPhone because I doubt this can easily be fixed. Even with the 3G's headphone port I would be a little weary of using these headphones (without the adapter) because I would not want this to happen again.
