Headphone jack broken, Audio out options besides BT?

External monitor I'm looking at has neither audio out or speakers. Is there an inexpensive way to connect external speakers to a macbook pro without the headphone jack or bluetooth?

Yes USB to 3.5mm there are thousands of them in all different price brackets.

USB DAC. You're likely to get better sound quality than with the onboard soundcard, to boot.

Most USB DACs don't play too nice with hubs, but it can't hurt to try. You still have another port to plug your hub into.

here, have a separate and replaceable circuit board for the headphone jack.
