Hey there. I like to play games on my Mac online. I have a headset (the third one so far) and it (like all the others) has an issue with its microphone. After a certain amount of time, the mic will start making really weird noises. I used to unplug my mic (via USB) and that would solve the issue. Lately I've realized that if I open Audio MIDI setup and toggle the microphone format (between 44100.0 hz and 48000.0 hz) that it resets the sound and I sound fine. What I'm wondering is whether or not there is a way to make some kind of short cut to do this for me so I don't have to open that and do it manually.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

So I've been lookin around and it seems like this is a problem that happens for quite a few mac users. The Gaming Headset that is being sold on Apple's online store has a review talking about the exact problem I've been having. Another person has posted in this forum with the same issue. This would make some kind of fix all that more important, so anyone with knowledge, I am begging you, please help!
