Recently I've been thinking about sorting out my health, though at present I don't have any heath issues, well.. nothing I know about. Beside being a tad over weight, I feel fairly fit...
Anyway, I'm kinda thinking about giving up smoking... but i'm worried I'd pile on the weight once I stop. Does stopping smoking really make you fatter?
I would recommend speaking to your physician. He/she will be able to help you use a cessation aid properly and can also assist you in altering your dietary needs. It is obvious that smoking has significant consequences to your health and is a risk factor for many disease processes such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, stroke, etc. If you're going to put the effort in to stop smoking, go the extra mile to improve your diet and increase your exercise. While these changes can't guarantee future health, you can surely reduce your risk.
