Just a quick question. Health app in iOS 8 was supposed to track cycling as well as walking but it never became a reality in spite of the M8 chip being able to differentiate automatically between both of them.
Can anyone confirm if this is still the case with iOS 9 or can we expect Health to track cycling properly at last?

Works fine on my phone, however I use Strava to upload my rides - but I get all the information in Health

Thanks! But if you do not use Stava, will your iOS 9 Health app track cycling?

I'm not sure if it is supposed to automatically, but I wouldn't expect it myself. The phone is mainly stationary when cycling, I can't see how it would differentiate a ride from a slow drive for example. I have noticed though when using an app like Strava or Wahoo it feeds that cycling data into the Health app.
