Title says it all. I'm trying for my third time tonight to restore from an iCloud backup of my 7+ to my new X I received today. I have most of the health data is there up until October 29th. After that it's all gone except for the little bit that I had accumulated while I had my watch paired with my X when it was doing the first restore. Of course I had to unpair it to try to fix this and now when I try to restore the health data is still complete. I wiped the X for a second time and did another iCloud backup from my 7+ and it is currently restoring from that backup...but opening the activity app it's the same deal...everything up until October 29th is there and the only thing that is on there from today is the little bit that accumulated while I briefly had it paired with my watch. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
[doublepost=1510012585][/doublepost]Should I try repairing my watch with my old phone, then unpair it once that's complete and then do another iCloud backup? Wipe the X again and restore from that new backup?

Just wait, your recent health data should appear eventually. I had the same problem that you had (health and activity data appeared through October, but nothing in November). I restored and erased my X three times, to no avail. Then I saw a thread in this forum which stated that the data would appear eventually, if you just waited. Some 6+ hours later, all of my health and activity data appeared.

Here is a link to that thread:

When you paired your watch was it like you were starting over from scratch for that day or no? Or did you wait the 6+ hours until you saw all your data back before you paired your watch again?

That link isn't working btw.

I am not sure that I understand your question, but when I paired and re-paired my Apple Watch, I did lose the data from that day. But after my health data finally reappeared, I did not have to re-pair my watch. Here is the timeline for my scenario. I worked out on the morning of Nov. 3rd. I then un-paired my Apple Watch. I then backed up my iPhone 6s+ to icloud (including my health data), went to the Apple Store to pick up my X and trade in my 6S+. I then restored my backup to my new X, and re-paired my Apple Watch. Then I noticed that I had health/activity data only through Octo.ber 29th. Thinking that my restore was faulty (it took a very long time), I unpaired my apple watch, erased my X and re-restored my iPhone X (twice). Still, I only had health/activity data through Oct 29. I then saw in this forum the advice to wait several hours or even days for my health data to appear. I then went to bed and then 6+ hour later, all of my data was there up to and including the data of my morning workout on Nov. 3, and the data after my most recent restore. I did not have to re-pair my watch again. I hope this helps.

Ok so it's exactly what I'm seeing here today. You paired your watch with your X and it didn't have anything from that day even though you did a workout and likely had your minutes and calories already done for the day (assuming your stands weren't done yet if it was in the morning). The 29th is what I'm seeing up until as well and then blank for everything after including today.

While I was waiting to see if anyone had any suggestions I went ahead and paired my watch with my old phone to see if the watch backup was faulty and it wasn't. It had everything there. So I unpaired it and did yet another backup of my 7+. Wiped my X and am in the process of restoring from that most recent backup that I did of my 7+. I'm going to let it go if the same thing happens again. I'll report back here in case this thread might be helpful to others.

Wish me luck. :) And thanks again. Your information and help are greatly appreciated.

Well got mostly restored again....just says "restoring media" so all of my app data is on my X now. And my activity data is showing up until the 29th of October and nothing after that. So I'm going to put faith that it's going to work like it did for you and the others in that other thread. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow and all will be good. I sure hope it will be...I have a streak going that will take over two years to break...and I'll be a sad panda for sure. I'll update again later.

Just have to give it time.

Got up at 4am on Nov 3. Went to gym and everything. Picked up phone at 9. By the time I unpaired my watch from my old phone and started setting up my new phone. I had activity and 7 stand hours logged.

My day looked like it reset when I paired Watch again. Data ended on 10/23. No activity for 11/3.

Got like 2 Stand hours. Then noticed activity was complete to 10/30. Then 11/1. Then everything popped in that was missing for 11/3. Profit.

It took about 16 hours for my health data to catch up. Just be patient.

It was pretty quick for me, once I set up the phone as new, and paired my previously unpaired watch with it. I turned on health synch in iCloud a few days before to make sure it had ample time. Also, Apple seems to restrict/prioritize some of the background functions to work when the phone is connected to a power source and locked.

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I’ll give it some time....well I have no other choice lol. My wife was missing the last 3 or 4 days of health data at first and it’s already showing up for her. So that’s encouraging along with what you all are saying too. Hopefully I’ll wake up in the morning and everything will be there.
