I have a 15" Macbook Pro, running Mojave 10.14.3.

Is it possible to connect to my hearing aids via bluetooth?

I have searched but there were 'no results'.

Thank you.

I'd never heard of bluetooth "connectivity" for hearing aids, but I guess one learns something new every day.

If your aids do have bluetooth, is there a way to turn it on/off?

If so, I'd try this:
1. Turn on BT "on the aids".
2. Open the BT preference pane
3. Turn on BT and see if it can "discover" the hearing aids.
4. Not sure what will happen next... ;)

Hearing aids have supported BT for a while. BT makes using a cellphone so much easier. Using a cellphone with hearing aids can cause a lot of feedback when holding the phone close to or against the hearing aids and BT eliminated this problem.

My friend has a top-of-the-line set from Costco and they would not pair with an 2013 13" Pro or 2015 Air.

My aids are "non cartel", and connect easily to all my Macs BT. Also work well with add on BT dongle for machine with no Bt.

Have your friend try an add on bt . they are cheap.

My friend tried again with no luck. Not a big issue at the moment since he can skype or facetime using his iPhone.
