is anyone aware of a way to get the AW alert whenever the HR rise above a certain threshold?
The normal alert only works if you have been at rest for at least 10 min.
I would like the alert to be issued whatever the circumstances, regardless of whether the watch thinks I am exercising/moving or not.

Thanks

High heart rate is circumstantial. If you’re exercising, climbing stairs, etc then an elevated heart rate is not necessarily a high heart rate, it’s normal. A low heart rate in those cases would be a better notification

Sure, but I had a recent scare and I am trying to catch a tachicardia that could happen at any time.
I’d rather be alerted for no reason than miss it as this would help me establish whether the watch is reporting it correctly, as opposed to spiking due to bad reading.

In any case, I have purchased HeartWatch as (in theory) should issue alerts if a set threshold is exceeded.
I will need to experiment with it to confirm if it really does what I am expecting it to do.

After playing with HeartWatch for a day here are my findings.
Unfortunately the alerts are sent (in theory, as I have not yet received one) only when the high heart rate is recorded by the app complication. As we all know, complications are updated very seldom (certainly never more often that every 15 minutes) so this makes unsuitable for my purposes.
The apps also allows for alerts to be triggered during workouts (if started using the app) however this is also quite frustrating as it will insist on alerting also for a minimum HR, which during workouts is set as no less that 50% of your theoretical maximum HR.

Another App that I found to be useful is Cardiogram as it allows to trigger 5 seconds HR readings without starting a workout; however it will not allow alerts/notifications to be set.

Back to square one.
