I received my Series 4 about 3 weeks ago. At the time, when using the heart rate complication for certain watch faces, it would display the last heart rate reading. I've now noticed, I believe since 5.1, that it no longer displays the last reading consistently, but instead it will show -- next to the heart icon. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have found that restarting the watch will sometimes fix it, but not always. Thanks in advance.

Has the stock heart rate complication been updated for the new watch faces on Series 4? When I first received my watch, the stock heart rate would only launch the app (not show the rate) from the new watch faces. I downloaded HeartWatch since it shows the rate, and it's been working well for me.

I guess it was updated, the series 4 is my first watch so I have no comparison. For many faces the stock heart complication simply acts as a launcher for the app, but for some such as the infograph modular, it would show last reading.

I use the infograph face and have the heart rate complication in the center above the 6. It displays my high and low plus in the center of the display is the last reading taken. I have used the infograph modular and it shows the same. But for some of the faces they only offer launchers for apps instead of information. Everyone has different tastes so the need for different faces.

Enjoy your S4. I love mine.
