Hello, I played the same 4K videos on the MBP 15", 2017, MBP 13" nTB 2017, and MBP 13", TB 2017. The 15" MBP was warm, not hot. The other two 13" models were cool. Doesn't the 15" version has better cooling system and have larger case to dissipate the heat? Which 2017 models have no heat, noisy fan nor thermal throttling issues? How about the 2015 15" MBP currently still on sale?

I think all 2017 models face heat, noise and throttling issues if provided with an intensive enough task...
The 15" models uses Intel HD 630 when not using the dedicated Radeon card against the Intel Iris Plus 640 (nTB) 650 (TB). This might be the reason why you feel that the 15" is warmer to the touch as the chip is not as effective and have to drive a larger resolution.

A water cooled PC...

Unfortunately, I need a laptop now.
[doublepost=1529413095][/doublepost]Based on my 2-week testing of the MBP 13" 2017 (3.1GHz, i5 CPU, 6GB, 1TB, Touch Bar), it went cool even when playing 4k videos. Not sure if it would be the same if I upgrade to i6 CPU with 16GB RAM and 1TB drive.
