dont want to try and find out. mine is at 35C right now. the hottest it has gotten on my cooling stand is 76C and that was as hot as i could get it. most of the time it stays around 45C-50C for gaming. and 30-35C for regular use. idles at 20-25C.

45-50C for gaming? How do you manage to keep it so cool. Mine gets up to 90C easily while playing WoW. For some reason that game gets it really hot, moreso than Crysis.

I'm interested in a cooling base for my MBP, but I wonder how noisy they are... Any suggestions, anyone?

That looks like a very good cooling pad. How much was it? I could not find a price on the website.

you can find it for about $40. check amazon just type in Enermax Aeolus into the search bar.

the one above is pretty incredible. its not the quietest one i've used but it is by far the best cooling i have ever seen. i sacrifice a little noise for the cooling power.

My MBP runs at about 87°C usually with the fans at about 7500rpm.I also keep it on a cooling pad which I plugged into the wall with an AC adapter I found that gives it a lot more power.

If its getting too hot at 6000 rpm, i do believe u have a problem if the original max isnt cutting it
