Does the iPhone 15 Plus have the same heat issues the 15 PM is experiencing?

I got a 15PM on launch day, coming from a 13PM. It warms up more than I'd like, even when general browsing of Mac rumors site, and this may be a deal breaker so am thinking of moving to a 15 PP.

There's not much coverage/discussion on the Plus model here on Twitter or on YouTube.

I've been tracking it for the last few days and so far I haven't come across a single overheating report with their Plus.

Encouraging! I definitely value battery life almost above all else, but will miss the lighter weight and smaller form factor, always on screen and 5x zoom.

It's an all-aluminum chassis so no heat dissipation issues. A16 is also a known variable.

This may be the conservative way to go. I've not heard any complaints other than a general statement in a popular blog that made the statement that the excessive heat issue applies across all of the 15 series phones.

I'd miss the 8 gb of memory and the high speed USB.

The only thing stopping me from getting a 15 Plus is the 60Hz display. I am used to 120Hz on the 14 Pro.

I got my iPhone 15 Pro yesterday and I've experienced no heat issues outside of the initial OS update and set up. Yes, the phone got hot during that period. Other than that, the phone is like other iPhones. I assume it will get hot if I do high level gaming on it. But I don't intend to do that.

My 15 Plus is cool as a cucumber 😎

Any complaints with the phone?

Which case are you using?

No complaints at all. I’m coming from a 13 Pro and maybe would like to still have pro motion, but I’m finding this screen to be just fine for me after all. Battery life is crazy good and it’s very lightweight for being a big phone.

And no case for me, naked and proud 😇

I checked out the plus at Apple Store today. The camera is not as good as the pro of course, but doesn't blur the background like the 15 pro max, that would be tough to give up!

My 15 PM is not doing the heating thing. It's cooler during intensive tasks than my 12PM was.

Noticeably cooler. I can be very critical of Apple (I'm even partly critical of this device), just wanted you to know if you're set on the 15PM, you might get one that doesn't heat up.

If I did not have my iPhone 14 Pro Max, I would go with iPhone 15 Plus... It is also what I recommend to people who ask me about iPhone upgrade...

Same here. This is my first phone with 120hz and it almost gives me a feeling of motion sickness. Really really weird. I just disabled it in settings and all is good now, but sorta bummed that I’m paying for a feature I’ll never use.
At least u will have better battery life
