so i was wondering, when im pushing my macbook pro 2011 2.2quad a little. it goes up to 94 degrees celcius (CPU). whats the maximum operating temperature? at what temperature does it shut down?

anyone know what is the operating temperature when performing at max?

Your CPU can operate at the maximum temperature of 100°C before it should shut itself down. However, the temperature reported by iStat or other app may not be accurate because there are several sensors in the CPU (I think the CPU sensor is external planted by Apple. The CPU has its own sensors inside it, thus the reported temperature may not apply).

The operating temperature depends on different variables, such as ambient temperature, cooling system etc.
