Safari has had Adblock for awhile too. The only reason its REALLY needed on Chrome is because Google are the kings of tracking your personal data and searches and its a must to use it. When I used to use Google, I would search a Ford truck or a guitar and then go into Facebook or a forum and be hammered with ads for Ford trucks and guitars. I hope everyone using Chrome knows every, single thing they do is tracked, have fun! Google is basically the devil.

Absolutely, I avoid Google at all costs, even on Android, just Root and rip out all their crap. As an organisation Google is far too intrusive for anyones good...

Good example the Android in China is devoid of anything Google, I am not indigenous so it can be a challenge to set up a phone/tablet, equally once done the phones run super fast and totally fluid, with no Google apps to bog it down or continuously send tracking data back home. Seriously worlds apart from the experience with Google`s apps installed...

I don't care if Google uses my data. The thing I'm more annoyed about is that since I let Google exploit me like this, I expect a decent product out of it. Since Chrome has become so cumbersome, I've stopped using it and now, they have less of my data.

Is a valid point, Chrome is simply atrocious on OS X now, shockingly bad when running on the battery, literally reduces your running time by several hours...
