Hello,

I have noticed that when my macbook is connected to an external display, e.g. via usb-c to vga, the gpu goes up to ~58º and I can feel it when touching the keyboard.

Do you have the same situation ?

Specs : 15''/2.9GHz/460

Thanks

I believe an external monitor automatically turns on the dGPU, which will heat up some, but I don't know what the normal running temperature is.

Yes, the keyboard has been part of the temperature management for a long time.

Just connected by LG 5K today, and the temperature is definitely higher, but not by that much. Here I the northeast, its kind of like heated seats for the fingers.....
